… No Escape! guitar redux …

I booted up the song “No Escape!” and started consolidating and re-recording the guitar tracks today. I thought I would give Guitar Rig 3 (a software guitar amp) a try and I fooled around with it for a while … but I ended up just going back to my real amp setup.

I’ve always like really dry direct guitar sounds when recording. I grew up recording my electric guitar direct into a cassette four track with a crappy distortion pedal. This sound has stuck with me and is in several songs on “Analog”. The newer guitar plugins for digital recording can sound pretty awful in a great way if you know what your after.

This in not what I’m after for “No Escape!”.

I’ll take some time and get the real sounds I want. No rush … RIGHT!!???
