… Atlantis choral vocals …

I tracked some of the vocals for the song “Atlantis” tonight. I’m arranging huge banks of harmonies and blending them together to create a large choral sound.

For instance … one section of the song has a four part harmony composed of a bank of fifteen vocals tracks blended together.

I’ve been using this technique on a lot of the songs for “Bits”. It is a slow process, but it feels right. I think it sounds unique to the record in some ways. I’m arranging the vocals as I record them, so sometimes things don’t work out and need to be redone. I always have to step back and listen to the work a few days later to try and get an objective point of view.
