Wow - if you ever thought to yourself “I wonder what it would be like to make a pair of Seventh Circle C84 Millenia style preamps…” this is the movie for you!

Shot with my HV20 and lit with one 60 watt reveal lightbulb and the window.

Music is Walter Wanderley.

In glorious H.264 quicktime crunched down from 1080p. Let’s see if I can get this to work.

This is about ~20mb so look out.

Today is the day for working on the song “Warlords”. It happens to be one of my favorite games for the 2600. Super intense action. One of the best four player games ever.

Some major structural issues. I added in a repeating bridge section to liven up the song a little. It’s repeated as the outro to the song…at least for now.

I might work on some lyrics if I get a chance, but my in-laws are in town….

Acoustic guitar scratch tracks added into the song. Recorded in stereo via C84 preamps. Two Octava MC-012 mics with cardiod capsules (no Dorsey mod for you Octava nerds). With my little t-bar adapter it reminds me of that crazy wise crackin’ robot —- Johnny 5!

Not liking the stereo mic setup sound. I think I will revert to one 414. Mono is the future.

My amp needs to quit smoking …

My first post on my blog.

Today, I worked on my first solo record - “Bits”.

The song - “Atlantis”.

Many hours spent on working out the song structure. Recorded some scratch acoustic and electric guitar tracks. Lyrics are now about 60% done. Very sci-fi. I might even use vocoder ….

Reminder to self: never mic my Classic 20 this way ever again. Sounds like it’s been smoking two packs a day for 10 years. I thought I’d like the Blue Ball more, but we’ll see…. more guitar tone tests.
