… demons and almost some diamonds …

I got back into recording the guitar tracks for “Demons to Diamonds” today. I think I may be close to getting this one finished up, and then it’s on to the vocal tracks.

The song (like the record itself) is a strange combination of real miked instruments and synthesized ones. All of the sounds blend together pretty tightly in a layered fashion and when I can’t fit the pieces together one way, I try something else. Digital … analog … miked … synthesized. Whatever. Heck, I used to record all my guitar tracks direct into a cassette four track and crank the gain to get distortion. Maybe that gives something more “street cred”. At this point, I’m just going to get the sounds I want and I don’t care how I get there.

Ok … so I’m not going to use Autotune.
