Fixed a broken PCR-50 today. It had several dead keys. This is what I did:

1. Removed ALL the screws on the bottom of the unit.
2. Removed the four panel mount PCB wire connectors on the main board.
3. Removed the two screws that hold the key assembly onto the frame.
4. Removed the load spring on each dead key.
5. Removed each dead key.
6. Gently (but vigorously) rubbed the rubber contact for each dead key.
7. Put the keyboard back together again.

IT WORKED!
