… explosions & fun …

Today was (probably) the last day I’ll do any tracking. The lawnmower man came by and basically nuked our whole yard. Every branch … every blade of grass … this guy was relentless. I never knew there were so many gas powered lawn tools. He was wielding a chainsaw for four hours straight! Blowers … mowers … choppers … grinders … mulchers I DON”T KNOW!!!! … but he was out there making a HECK OF ALOT OF NOISE for like the whole day!

I just said screw it and blasted out the final tracks for “Warlords” and ” Demon Attack”.

I also mixed all day and managed to squeeze out both “Lost Luggage” and “Night Driver”. ND was a tough one … being that it starts out as a mellow, back road, keyboard track and ends up cruising down the freeway going 90.

Speaking of mixing … while working on ND, Sonar decided to play a little mischief with me. Periodically, a certain plugin would instantly blast explosive white noise through the speakers/headphones.

That felt pretty good.

I was on the console screen (pictured above) at one point and witnessed the channel meter blast out of its frame and shot through the entire screen, straight up to the top. The meter read 99.9 dbs which is pretty loud considering digital tops out at 0 dbs.

WTF?

I managed to make it through the song … but that sucked.
