… Maximillian’s revenge …
I have had a fear of hovering robots with spinning blades for hands ever since I saw the movie The Black Hole back when I was a kid. Max, the robot pictured above, is actually so evil and menacing, that he goes to Hell at the end of the film. I think that he was the first robot to go to Hell. I might be wrong.
Anyway …
I couldn’t make it home for Christmas due to bad weather. We were planning on having a gift exchange, and I bought a remote control flying robot thing to put into “Santa’s Bag”.
Since I was unable to attend the festivities, I gave my gift to myself.
Now I’m sorry.
This little beast whirls out of control and sends me running for cover every time it rises off the ground. The remote control does little except change the awful high pitched whine that the mechanical nightmare creates. And let me tell you … it sounds HORRIBLE!
A flight usually consists of the machine rising straight up into the air, hitting the ceiling, bouncing off a lamp and shooting straight at my head while I scream and mash the buttons on the remote in an act of self preservation.
It supposedly has an “autopilot” mode but there is no way in Hell I’m engaging that unless I am behind bullet proof glass wearing football pads.
This thing will put your eye out.
