… Night Driver vocals …

Hmmmmmm … let’s see … today I recorded some of the vocals for the song “Night Driver”. Specifically, I finished tracking the first and second verses of the song. When I recorded a demo of the song a while back, I used a Russian ribbon microphone to record the scratch vocals. It’s amazing how much more life the new tracks have using a 414 into the Seventh Circle preamps I built last spring.

Things are sounding good and I’m just plodding along with the ol’ “Bits” album. I still need to work out some vocal stuff over the end of the recently-worked-out outro. Lunch breaks at work aren’t the easiest time to get creative … but I’ll think of something. Maybe I’ll drop an anvil on my head and get inspired.

I still need to track three choruses, the third verse and the outro vocals …

On another note … my cheap LCD monitor that I’ve had for years is starting to get reeeeeally funky. “Super zig-zag lines all over the place” funky. It makes me feel like it’s “Man vs Machine” when I record.
