… No Escape video (actual size) …

In an effort to put the “No Escape!” music video into perspective, I have created an actual size representation of the film. The picture above shows the film in its true resolution 96×54 pixels. The final film will have “pixels” that are 20×20 pixels across. This will blow the 96×54 pixels up to 1920×1080. This is lower resolution than the Atari 2600.

The memory limitations of the 2600 didn’t allow the original Atari to render “complex” images such as I have created for the “No Escape!” video. It had a limit of 128 colors and I have chosen to use 256 for better shading. The “No Escape!” music video was never intended to be a replication of the Atari 2600 graphics engine. Instead, it is meant to evoke a classic gaming style.
