… model airplane takes off …

I put my green screen back up today and started shooting some tests for the “Combat” music video. I the motor I installed into the model airplane was spinning way to fat to show against the green screen. It was just a blur.

I added 87 ohms of resistance in series (one 47 ohm + 4×10 ohm resistors) and slowed the motor down.

... 87 ohms of resistance ...

Now I can shoot against the screen at about f1.8 and 1/60 and actually see the prop spinning. When I bring the plane outside, I will have to kill that resistor bank because it will be way brighter out there. I’ll be at about f1.8 and 1/800, so the prop will need to be spinning faster to have the same (or close to the same) amount of blur.
