These must be from around 1980-1985.  <\/p>\n<p>I had three that I can remember and I brought back two of them with me.  I don&#8217;t know why I didn&#8217;t grab that third one!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.armanbohn.com\/blog\/pictures\/2008_05_26_b.jpg\" alt=\"... ray gun guts ...\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These ran on batteries and were <em>not<\/em> of the friction and sparks variety, although I am sure I had a bunch of those too.<\/p>\n<p>These old ray guns are cool because they are all analog in their design.  No cheesy lo-fi sampled zap sounds here.  These guns generated pure sine waves and all sorts of chaotic mayhem with discrete components.
