… Bits layout begins …

I started mocking up the back cover design for the record today. I’m just getting all the text ready, choosing fonts, playing with the image and such.

The back cover will have a picture of me and my Atari collection taken by photographer Jonah Sutherland. We did the shoot last year (about half way through the project). I have to go through and pick which one I want to use, and it will be difficult. I like the ones that look like I’m wedged into tall stacks of carts. There needs to be an appropriate amount of black space surrounding the image for text and to accommodate different formats (CD, LP).

Initially, I plan on hand making 100 copies of the record on recordable CDs using black paperboard sleeves (I bought them today). I’m going to color print the front and back images on sticker paper and put the whole thing together myself.
