… Lost Luggage vocals (multi-tracking) …

I’m super close to finishing vocals for the song “Lost Luggage”. I spent most of the day cleaning up various vocals takes. If I can get it finished tomorrow, I’ll be on schedule to get this thing done next by next month.

The song has quite a few sustained pitches … and as the tracks get stacked, it’s easy to develop slight pitch fluctuations that interplay between the various takes. Those variations in pitch are what make multi-tracked instruments sound interesting when placed in a stereo field. Controlling how multiple takes of the same instrument (or vocal) relate is a difficult thing to get a hold on. That is what I’m trying to do with the whole record and “Lost Luggage” has been particularly challenging in this respect.
