Prismatic Spray II – Firmware

NOTE!

THIS FIRMWARE IS FOR THE PRISMATIC SPRAY II AND WILL NOT WORK FOR THE PRISMATIC SPRAY V1.


Updating your firmware will likely erase any presets you have saved! Please write down any important combinations you would like to keep before updating.

You will need to download and install TyTools (MacOS & Windows) from here:

  1. Unzip the firmware. You should see this readme file and another file called Prismatic_Spray_II_x_x.hex with the X’s representing the version of the firmware you are about to install.
  2. Plug in the Prismatic Spray II directly into your Mac or PC with a USB-C cable that can transmit data.
  3. Close all other applications.
  4. Open “TyUploader” (previously called “TyUpdater” in old versions) – Note: “TyCommander” was also installed, don’t use that.
  5. Make sure Prismatic Spray II is selected in the dropdown if you have other Teensy devices plugged into your computer.
  6. Click “Upload” select the .hex file from this zip file.

Version 1.01
NEW – Holding RESET (yellow switch) and pressing any ENGINE SELECT button (gray switches) will set the current incantation to default runic values (A, B, C). Great for a quick starting point!
CHANGED – Incantations 11, 13 & 39 were replaced with more distinct algorithms
FIXED – Adjusted waveform redraw area in the RUNIC DISPLAY
FIXED – RUNE values (A, B, C) are now scaled into the acceptable ranges when changing incantations via black and white switches or via MIDI
FIXED – Pressing RESET (yellow button) now clears the screen correctly
FIXED – Default RUNES (A, B, C) for incantation #00 were incorrect
