… Mr. Tambourine …

I played me some tambourine today (thanks to a loaner from Josh)! It turns out I am not the worlds greatest living tambourinist. I thought you could just shake it and sound would come out. As it turns out, there is rhythm involved.

After a few takes, I managed to scrap together some pieces that sound pretty good for the song “Outlaw”. I’ve been working on the drums for the lead-in section of the song. I had a 16th note hi-hat pattern going on in there since I originally wrote the song. I’ve always wanted the song to sound distinctly different in this section and I think the tambourine coupled with some wordless vocals will help it get to where it’s suppose to go.
