Here is one final test for my stop motion shoot – the “Combat” music video.
24 fps vs. 12 fps.
Most animation (stop motion or otherwise) is done at far less than 30 or 24 fps to save the animator loads and loads of work. I decided to run the same scene in 24 fps and 12 fps in order to help me make my final choice of frame rates.
The first tank passes at 24 fps, the second at 12fps. 24 looks great, but 12 suggests something toy-like and stuttery .
